I went to pick up a pendrive aka flash drive recently. My last recollection was of these USB drives being about 512MB and costing upwards of RM80.
Mine is ancient and cost something like RM100. Shocking eh? Yeah, that was during the dark ages of technology.
Anyway, I went to buy one recently, and prices have really dropped drastically! 1GB pendrives were going for about RM36 a month ago, and I can now get them for RM35. Do you know how much 1GB can store? Heck of a lot!
The next one up is 2GB and cost me only RM55. 2GB!! Imagine what I can do with 2GB of space on a little flash drive! hehe… Blogging on the move, maybe
Move over floppy disks with your measly 1.44MB of space. Pendrives with 2GB are the way to go! Woohoo!

At a meeting a few days ago, one of the assistant managers requested to show some data to us. We were using quite a new notebook with the projector and everything. Then he suddenly whipped out a FLOPPY DISK and asked to put it into the notebook to show us some data. We were like, dude, what century are you living in???
What notebook still comes with a floppy drive??
LOL! yeah even when floppies were the order of the day, some laptops already didn’t come with the drives. You can hardly store anything on a floppy anyway!
On the shopping List: 1 2GB pendrive!
I say go with the pendrives. I (or rather the office :p) bought me a portable hard disk and now the damn thing can’t read!
I don’t want the teh ais. I want a 2 gb pendrive
sigh…I bought the exact one you have now end of last year at RM97, and that was already considered a good deal at the time!! *arrrgghh*
upside is that it’s a whole lot easier to tote around than a 40Gb hard disk…what information could you possibly need that won’t fit on a 2Gb pen drive?
