How to get all those lovely images?

I’ve been blog-hopping - (Angel on shoulder says bad bad bad! You are supposed to be working. Devil on other shoulder says what?! and goes on surfing - so I’m possessed by the Devil)

Anyway, I’ve been bloghopping and I see people with such nice looking images in their posts e.g. Little Miss May and LB and Sesame. They don’t look like pictures which are stock photos found on the internet. Some have even cutesy little headers and things…. I wan!!

But I don’t know how to :P So, tell me, how do you get those cutesy little pictures/images? I dont know how to work photoshop (not that I have it) and my camera is working but I can’t find my software CD (rains curses on the goblin-that-hides-useful-things-in-the-house).

So…. Help? Thankyewverrymuch! :)

Er… LOL, love the Devil in you! But can you give me an idea of exactly which images you are talking about? Mostly, the pics I use are from my own photo library, and the ones that are not, they’re reshuffled from the net… *grin*

How about looking for the software download from the net for your camera? Try googling :)

LB: The pics you have look very posh lol even from your own photo lib. I mean images like putting it in frames/blurring edges… in other words making it look less like a photo stuck onto a page and more like an image for your post if you get what i mean :P

Pablo: I googled and hurrah! You rock! *files away url to download on home comp*

Thanks for the compliments Paris. Actually I create all my headers. For my personal blog, I used to create quite often but has since stopped. The one you see now is just pictures with some styling and minimum doodle. I have my past header doodles filed under My header illos. For VW, I took the idea from a wallpaper I came across and drew it in Illustrator.

All pictures in my personal blog are personal. I think styling makes a lot of difference. I happen to have the photoimpression software from my digital camera so I always use the standard border to style the pictures.

Most pictures for VW are from stock.xchng (www.sxc.hu) which is a free photo resource. Just make sure you read the terms and conditions when using the pic.

Sesame: Thanks so much for the link! That was very helpful. I’d love to create all those lovely headers you have, but I don’t think i’m creative enough LOL… I’ll look around for software to set the pictures, thanks. I just downloaded Picasa to take a shot at it :)
