Leaky roofs = Leaky women

Read this at The Star Online.

This is what our Parliamentarians do. If they don’t debate about the RM2m facelifted Parliment House’s leaky roof, they go round pissing off women. This is not the first time, mind you.

Our elected representatives have this grave disease called “putmyfootinmymouth-titis”. Not titties because they don’t have any. No balls either, it would seem. Its a serious disease that seems to afflict mostly the men who sit in Parliament and it doesn’t seem to afflict them until they sit in Parliament. Then, they get infected with this disease, not in stages, but the full blown effect all in one go.

For those who don’t want to read the article or haven’t done so, the gist is that 2 Members of Parliament (MP) said this “in the heat of the argument”:

On Wednesday, Bung Mokhtar was reported saying: “Mana ada bocor, Batu Gajah pun tiap-tiap bulan bocor juga (Where is the leak? Batu Gajah leaks every month too).”

To clarify this to those who don’t understand: Batu Gajah refers to the constituency held by a woman Opposition MP. She saw the remarks made while reviewing the previous day’s arguments in Parliament during the debate about the leaky roof at the Parliament. She raised a motion in Parliament but was refused as it was not brought up immediately at that moment the words were said. So the person who made the statement and his supporter got off scot free equating women to leaky roofs.

I am a woman and I am offended by the remark. Unless there were no women in the hall at the time this motion was passed, I cannot see how any woman would not be offended, whether from the BN or from the Opposition.

For your information, you spineless chauvinistic male MPs who did not pass your Biology paper, we women “leak” once a month so you male chauvinist pigs can sire your offspring and maybe if we are really unlucky, future chauvinist pigs. For 2 weeks in a month, we endure the PMS symptoms, the painful breasts, the bloatedness, the cramps, the blood, the expense for sanitary pads and the emotional moodswings. Why? Because the eggs so crucial for the creation of a new life is kept in our safekeeping. God gave us a finite number of eggs to be released one a month. God gave men billions of sperm which are replenishable to be released and/or wasted whenever they feel like it. Fair?

No man can ever understand what its like to “leak” every month so you have no right to make any comments about it. For your information, a leak in the roof of Parliament House is NOT similar to nor can it be likened to having a period once a month.

According to The Star:

The general consensus among MPs was that it was all right to say “women leak every month.”

Who were the MPs they polled? Were any women asked? Did they feel slighted at that remark? Were they asked NOT to feel slighted?

The supporter of the offending remark is from Jasin. This is what he said:

Mohd Said said the statement was made in the heat of the argument.

“I don’t see what the fuss is about,” he said

Excuse me? You don’t know what the fuss is about? Its about your male chauvinism you moron! Its about you belittling women by making fun of something that is beyond our control. Its about you pissing me off I can’t even type coherently.

Since the MPs seem to be of the general consensus that its alright to say “women leak every month”, in relation to a leaking roof (don’t bloody take the statement out of context. Read it in its original context. In the original context, the subject of discussion was a roof which leaks and this was likened to a leaky woman), why don’t they, each and every one of them, go home to their mothers and wives and daughters and nieces and aunts and grandmothers and say this to them

“Mother/Grandma/Wife/Daughter/Niece/Aunt our roof at Parliament House leaked yesterday. But its not an issue because you leak every month too don’t you? By the way, Happy Mother’s Day”

I’d like to see which male MP did not earn himself a hard slap and a night on the couch or a black faceed wife/mother/grandma/daughter/niece/aunt after uttering those words. After that, come back and tell me “I don’t know what the fuss is about.”

God! Its like having baboons in Parliament. Oh but that would be an insult to baboons won’t it?

I wish to lodge a protest here on behalf of the baboons! Somehow or rather, Bung and Close One Eye are two of the most uncouth MPs sitting in Parliament.

Ahhh… the soapbox is out again. *takes a seat near the front*

This is why I will not vote BN in the general elections… their politicians are all *insert favorite word of choice here*

p.s. The baboons are very upset today. They are insulted and hurt that they are compared to the morons sitting in Parliament. *grin*

Again, idiots in the govt again. Seriously, they let people like this run the country?

I very the “bey tahan” people like this. Men who shoot their mouth without going through what tiny brains they have.

    Gah.

I think this is why they refuse to air the Parliament sessions on TV. They know they are iditos and too ashamed to let anyone know.

This is even more reason why they MUST air Parliament sessions on TV so the babboons might behave themselves and we have on record the idiots that is ruining this country.

Mahai, can discuss women’s natural biological function, but cannot discuss issues of national disgrace such as the 2 banks’ racist requirement? (Motion to discuss was shot down, citing that Parliament cannot interfere in the banks internal policies. F.U.!!)

Pablo: Yes I noticed that too. I guess they just like the attention. Doh!

Rinnah: careful of the flying spittle! lol… and I’m sorry, baboons hehe

Tine: There their brains so small how to process info? Mouth bypasses their brain. They shouldn’t even let them near the seat to be honest.

Azali: But people will die of boredom heh…

Wuching: At least they are forced to apologise no?

May: So sad hor? Run by monkeys.

GT: hahahaha I like this one!
