According to PDRM stats in 2004 4.7 women were raped/assaulted per day and in 2006 the stats are 6.6. So a leap like that pretty significant lah and maybe warants the panic mode, I dunno... For me, I know I never let my guard down. Working in KL taking public transport, I do feel besieged all the time. I do generally feel safe in Singapore, even trawling through the city at 2 am with drunken friends in tow... Hey Dearie.
