A sale I’d pass up

My name is Paris Beaverbanks and I’m a warehouse-sale-a-holic. There are however, 2 types of warehouse sales I don’t frequent. Those featuring electrical items and jewellery. Yes, even jewellery goes on sale. If you look in the newspapers at certain times of the year, you’ll see diamonds (enlarged to about 100 times their actual size) going at up to 70% off. It never ceases to puzzle me why you have to put jewellery on sale this way. I mean, its jewellery right? It doesn’t go out of fashion. Heck, if I were given a diamond ring, no matter how old it is, do you think I’m going to go “Oh! That’s so 1970! I’m not wearing it”. No way! I’ll take it, thank you prettily, and jab it on my finger.

Which reminds me of a site I read where the girl had the diamond fall out from the setting on her engagement ring from a popular jeweler in town. Eeps! Poor gal! I don’t think she even bought it at a warehouse sale. I couldn’t really tell if the shop gave any compensation for shoddy settings. They should. Rocks shouldn’t just fall out of their ring settings like that.

And what does this randomness bring me to? Nothing really. Just thinking aloud. So Cheesey, you are right to be careful and the embedded diamond is an excellent idea LOL…

I want a diamond ring too! But not the Tiffany-women-of-the-world-raise-your-right-hand ring but a true blue engagement ring… *slips off into daydream*

Yes, a good setting for a solitaire diamond on your engagement ring is a definite must. That’s why I am so so paranoid about mine.
