I apologise for the mess

I upgraded to Wordpress 2.2.1 last night on really crappy Streamyx connection. I actually followed Giddy Tiger’s idiot-proof instructions to upgrade both my sites and it all went smoothly.

Or so I thought.

Today, I noticed that this site looked odd. After the Firefly ad in the middle column, the rest of the column has run down to the bottom of the page. I browsed around and saw that it happened only with javascript. So, there might be a javascript conflict.

If I cant’ get it to work, I will be changing my theme. Real pain. I liked this one but I don’t like a messy site so I guess I’ll be back on the hunt.

If anyone out there knows how the heck to work javascript, maybe give me a holler? Thankyewverymuch!

UPDATE:
I changed the template. It was too much hassle trying to work my small fluff brain around javascript. This one looks sleek and clean too. Big big thanks to Pablopabla for all his help on Gmail chat. I owe this fella a Segambut Fried Chicken rice AND a teh tarik for helping me find this template and getting my tagline to show up. :)

Yet another episode that convinces me not to try messing around with my idiot-proof Blogger template. LOL!

But I see you’ve got everything under control now. I like this three column layout!

I think the problem is IE6. Dunno for sure. The last time I used the same theme oso same problem if I view with IE6.

But this is a very good theme. Copyblogger by Chris Pearson. Got very good SEO codes written in.

I am holding off my upgrade to 2.2.1 because of this post! But I am glad things are ok now. And I do like the reflection thing you got going with the RSS icon up there!

As for Javascript, I’m not an expert but I could try take a look and see if I can help, if you still need it?

LB: Thanks! *hugs* I changed the theme to make it all better hehe…

Rinnah: Oh no! I love messing around with templates. But not when templates start messing with me!

Ah Pek: Thanks. I wanted a clean theme and Pablo pointed me in this direction. The iTheme was good until it got its javascripts messed up. I read it on N-Design’s site.

Giddy Tiger: Actually, there was no problem with 2.2.1, just a problem with my template. The RSS icom came with the theme unfortunately lol… Thanks for offering to look at the javascript. I’ll get in touch with you if I feel like reactivating the theme. Don’t want you taking all the trouble and me not using it.

Hey! Make sure it is teh ais wor. I don’t likey the hot hot one. LOL!

Giddy Tiger : Wei! Upgrade immediately as there are security issues with the 2.2. Some sites kena hacked recently cos they have not upgraded and it was a nightmare trying to restore everything.

I’m a web developer so I’d be happy to help with any PHP / JavaScript issues.

May: Hee… you dropped by after the renovation so you don’t see the mess. Thanks!

Adino: Thanks for your offer. However, the problem was with a previous template that I’ve decided to discard. Maybe if I have future problems I’ll seek you out.
