A meme for May

May tagged me for a charity meme. Apparently, a blogger has pledged to donate RM127 for every blogger who does his meme. He said that he wanted to collect at least RM10,000 as a donation which translates to about 79 blog posts. From the hundreds of comments left, I’d say that he has far surpassed his goal. So, will he contribute RM127 for every post or just RM10,000 as originally pledged? We’ll have to see.

However, I’m a cynical person and I’m afraid I’ll have to agree with Ah Pek’s views on this one. He has said it just how I would so I won’t repeat it here. Suffice to say, I would want to see just how much is eventually donated. But since I was tagged by May and since May is a friend, I will do it anyway - for May not for charity.

I’ve got a new Feed

I’m vain ok, so when I saw my Feedburner numbers drop after this latest move from old server to new server, I was panicky for a bit. I went over to Feedburner and saw that changing a server might cause the old feed to be useless.

So, I decided to burn a new feed.

http://feeds.feedburner.com/parisbeaverbanks

There: Simple, to the point.

Please please all who were previously reading from a Feedburner feed, could I trouble you to please change your feed address so you don’t get left out? Those who aren’t using a Feedburner feed might not be affected… but I don’t know because I’m not that savvy.

Thank you all kindly. :)

p/s Maybe I just don’t have that many feed subscribers after all LOL!

Working by remote control from home

When I was working from home a couple of weeks back, I would find myself running into roadblocks every time I found myself needing a copy of a document from the office computer. I don’t stay very far from my office, but it was a hassle getting out of my PJs and hopping into my car for the 10 minute drive there, copying a file off my computer that takes 2 seconds, and then driving back. That would be at least half an hour wasted.

So, as you can expect, remote access to my office computer from the home would have been a fine and dandy option. I think I’m going to take up the 30 day free trial from Remotepc.com and see if it works for me. If it does, that means I can schlep around in my PJs at home instead of having to doll up to go to the office everyday!

Has anyone tried it? Does it work?
