I stumbled across YuinYin’s site a while back while browsing Petaling Street.
Yuin Yin is a lovely young medical student who writes about her life as a medical student and whatever else young people do. Now, I don’t usually read the blogs of young students who write about their day to day events, because well… I left the realm of school and university a long time ago, and so I just can’t connect anymore. However, why I’m still reading Yuin Yin’s blog is because although she’s ill , she doesn’t dwell on it.
That’s what attracted me. The fact that she’s dealing with her illness in a perfectly rational positive way, and not going “Why me? Why me?” in every post. In fact, if you did not read the posts where she writes about her illness, you wouldn’t even know anything was amiss.
I don’t usually plug blogs but this is an exception, simply because she’s a brave girl who writes well and doesn’t cause her reader to pity her, but instead to admire her strength and humour in the face of adversity.
My prayers and hopes will be with her, and I hope she gets well soon. And when she does, she can have all the strawberries she can eat! ![]()
