When I last wrote about the yellow rose I received, I promised to take a picture of the lilies when they opened. And here they are.
These are my favourite-est flowers of all time - white stargazer lilies. The pink ones are nice too, but I prefer them white. When they first open, the insides of the flower are so pristine and untouched, and the smell is so intoxicating. I just love the way they perfume the house. It can be a little overpowering in a small room, but in the living hall, it works better than any house freshener.
I usually buy them as buds. I’m really kiasu so I get the stalks with at least 3 buds and if they are as fresh as the flower shop promises you then you are in for a treat! I buy them from the flower wholesalers so they don’t cost very much, maybe RM5 or RM6 per stalk and they can last up to 1 week to 10 days. Healthier than using artificial fresheners and prettier too! 
On another note, I spent the better part of dinner listening to someone talk more than I do. Tell me, is it possible to out-talk a female?! He was babbling on about what he wanted in a life partner. Hello? If that was a subtle hint as to what I should be doing were I interested, um… no. If that was a subtle hint to tell me I don’t fit the bill, um… no!

Wow dearie, those flowers are so loevly! I never knew they were called stargazers. They’re more like firecrackers!
Speaking of flowers, my trip to Mauritius was the first time i actualy saw a vanilla plant in bloom,its a cute little orchid thingy! but smells so bootiful! But the darn thingy is named after the female sex organ la whey! considering it was “discovered” by the spanish from the americas and brought all over the world, you really wonder aout these pervy explorers and naturalists naming things after womens body parts.
And, dude….you’re DATING???!!

yes, it’s possible for a guy to out-talk a girl. I wouldn’t mind if it was something interesting, but to list out what he’s looking for in a life partner?! HELLO indeed! I would’ve gone insane as well… LOLOL!
Lilies are my favoritest flowers too, though I prefer calla lilies. They are rather hard to find though.

I pluck out the stamens (ouch!) because it minimizes the dropping and makes the flower last longer so I’m told.

You know what? I think we have the same ones in our house, but they’re fake. Came with the vase that friends gave us as a present. LOL! Talk about coincidence.
