Guys should not open doors for girls nor walk them to their cars.

It spoils them for those who don’t.

may October 12, 2007 at 11:58 am: I’d be quite happy for guys to open doors for me, more so if they walk me to the car (for safety reasons!). but even if they don’t, I won’t hold it against them. it’s a nice novelty if they do in this day and age!

rinnah October 12, 2007 at 1:30 pm: I don’t mind the opening door bit because I do that for guys too, out of politeness. But the walking to the car one… it’s a must in my opinion. Simply because the world isn’t safe for lone females. But I’m not so spoiled as to insist la. *grin*

Rinnah: Yes I do open doors too for anyone and I agree also with the walking to car bit for safety more so than for chivalry’s sake. But depends on the person la. Some people are too creepy for me to consider walking me to my car!

Giddy Tiger October 12, 2007 at 3:23 pm: Chivalry does not exist anymore. Guys in my company hardly ever open doors for the women…they just barge right through.
As for guys walking girls to the car, I deem that a necessity. Opening the car doors is a nice extra.

Tine October 12, 2007 at 5:59 pm: Chivalry is so dead that I’d be surprised if the guy (not my man lah ) actually opens the door for me! I’d be counting my lucky stars he doesn’t slam the door on me!
