I once said that Giddy Tiger’s site would always remind me of Hobbes from Calvin and Hobbes. And its true too. I always half expect to find a picture of Hobbes there but I never do.
All that said, here’s wishing Giddy Tiger a very very HAPPY BIRTHDAY today. Its a Sunday, what’s there not to be happy about eh?
Have a good one, girl! *hugs*

I have no idea why, but I cannot wait for 6pm today. I’m squirming around in my seat, watching the clock, marking time…
Tick.
Tock.
Tick.
Tock.
The time needs to speed up so the weekend can finally be here! Maybe I’m excited because:
- I’m meeting a dear friend today whom I haven’t seen in months? A year? Anyway its been too long!
- This weekend is going to be full of activity (as are all weekends come to think of it)
- This weekend promises something special (though I have no idea what)
Above all, this weekend is a weekend! No work, all play! Happy happy joy joy!
I need that after yesterday’s introspective, gloomy post. It brought my whole day down so I’m going to be like Rinnah and think happy thoughts. If it works for her, it’ll jolly well work for me too!
*dons Mary Poppins outfit and picks up umbrella*
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Even though the sound of it
Is something quite atrocious
If you say it loud enough
You’ll always sound precocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Happy Friday and Happy Weekend everyone!

Isn’t it awful how every time you make up your mind to take the step forward, someone or something from the past tries to pull you back?
… and you just don’t want to take their hand anymore because what you really want to do is to turn away and take that step forward.

Howdy y’all!
I survived the 3 day Hari Raya weekend which turned out to be a weekend of many firsts for me.

It was the first time I’d bought movie tickets online through the GSC website. Its a cinch! Enter credit card details and pick up tickets from the kiosk - convenient and simple. Why didn’t I do this before?!
It was the first time I did not go anywhere on holiday during an extended weekend. I stayed in KL which brings me to…
It was the first time driving down semi-empty roads in KL due to everyone having gone out of town. Woohoo! *does my best imitation of Schumacher*
It was the first time I installed a computer game. Yes, I don’t play computer games or RP games and I got initiated into the mother of all RP games - World of Warcraft. I’m still as clueless as ever about it (sorry mate!). My elven character runs all over the place in a haphazard fashion (yes I have this thing called “orientation issues” and poor hand-eye coordination), and I managed to get myself killed within a day of getting her up to a Level 3 because I was ambitious and explored too far out of my comfort zone. I fortunately have a good teacher/guide who is intent on pumping me full of info and getting me up many many levels within this short time I have on the 10 day guest pass so I can get out of the small vale I’m now and explore the big wide world out there and maybe get hooked eh? I don’t know though… I guess you could say I’m like Sam Gamgee from The Lord of The Rings. I’m comfortable in the Shire and its going to take some real dedication and not to mention blind loyalty, to get me out into the big world out there on a quest. OMG! I’m a hairy-footed hobbit!
It was the first time I had to wait for ages for a bowl of chilli pan mee noodles, and I did not fret one bit!
It was the first time I watched Jason Bourne in The Bourne Ultimatum and its the last part of the trilogy I think. Did I think much of it? Sorry, no. I felt it was hurried and messy and the chase scene in Tangiers was way too long. When I end up eating a lot of popcorn during a movie, its a sure sign I’m getting bored.
It was the first time I could not tell the difference between Coke and 100 Plus.
Its not my fault! People usually buy coke for movie drinks right? How was I to know I should be expecting 100 Plus in my cup. No wonder I thought it tasted funny. I only realised it halfway through the movie, yes during the Tangiers chase scene.
It was the first time I’ve had to buy something called an S-Video Cable to connect my hi-fi set to my tv so I can watch DVDs (finally!).
It was the first time I got anyone to watch Criminal Minds - awesome awesome twisted mind sick wonderful tv series. Cannot miss.
It was the first time I’m in a quandary as to how to politely tell someone “No, thank you” although I’m assured that “No, thank you” is quite polite as it stands.
A series of firsts! A 3 day weekend has never been so productive. Deepavali is going to be another 3 day long weekend (if I take Friday off - thanks for the reminder Tummythoz). More firsts then?
p/s I missed one out. It was the first time I’d spoken to Giddy Tiger over the telephone! She’s so sweet!
