Go! Go!
I’m serious. Go and watch Stardust.
Its everything a movie should be - funny, sweet, romantic, action-packed, magical, witches, flying ships … and it leaves you with a lovely warm fuzzy feeling inside. Aww…
Its got Robert de Niro and the oh-so-gorgeous Michelle Pfeiffer in it and they really hammed up their roles. Wonderful! Granted, I made really stupid comments throughout the movie like “Why aren’t they cut from flying glass?” and I’m told “Its a movie!!”
And don’t buy popcorn - you’ll be laughing too hard to eat it.
I loved Captain Shakespeare’s crew “Arr…” and I loved the ghostly band of brothers. I loved how they slid in such pun-ny scenes like blue blood, without drawing attention to it at all.
The story line is sweet - boy meets girl, boy learns lesson in love. And yes its a fairy tale so yes, they live happily ever after.
Sigh… I loved the movie… can you tell?
Now I want to read the book. Its Neil Gaiman - it should be good.
And does anyone else think that Claire Danes looks like a young Gwenyth Paltrow?

Hey, you just reminded me of my fave diner in NYC called Stardust! We used to go there for our hearty breakfasts ~ bacon & eggs, w/ a cuppa tea!
May: Yes it was absolutely fantastic. I’m still looking for the book (without the movie poster cover).
Rinnah: Aww… not a fantasy fan? but nevermind - its good. Very very good!
LB: Wow! That breakfast sounds yummy! Shall bear Stardust in mind if I ever visit NYC
Sounds like my kind of a movie! I’m gonna look for that book, unless May wants to lend it to me!

I loved the book when I read it, it was the very first Neil Gaiman book I’d read.
I’m actually not too keen on the film as film adaptations tend to disappoint. I might give this one a go though since you’ve reco-ed it.
You babysit my 2 girls, I go watch with my wife. Can? Can?
LOL at Pablo’s suggestion! I’m back to sprinkle some stardust on you! And give you a present!
