Hooray for HSBC!

by ParisB on November 28, 2007

After I realised my bag was stolen, one of the first things I did was call up the various banks to have my credit cards blocked and replaced. One of the last I called for the day was HSBC.

Their phone service was quick and the customer service was polite.

Dad 001Yesterday, just 2 days after I called them for a replacement card, a brand new credit card was couriered to my mailing address, complete with brochure, a little journal diary for 2008 (it looks classy!) and a GSC card that enables me to get 2 movie tickets for the price of 1! Considering that it happened on a Saturday that’s effectively only 1 working day’s service!

A few hours after I received the card, I received a phone call to enquire if everything was in order. You gotta love their service!! :D

I have neither seen hide nor hair of any of the other banks I contacted. Citibank called me for more verification and told me yesterday it would take another 7 days for me to get my cards. If I depended on them, I mati liao without my plastic money :P

At least with the replacement of my HSBC credit card, I’m back in the world of financial freedom, without fear of not having sufficient cash on me. And this little episode is making me think of sticking to my HSBC card as my primary credit card.

I’m so pleased I went with HSBC that I’m happily giving them premium advertising space here for free! ♥ HSBC! :)

oh, wonderful! I also like HSBC’s service way better than Citibank’s, or any of our local banks. somehow they get it right…

Pablo: Yes I fully agree, hence this little plug!

May: My loyalty to Citibank is definitely waning in light of this recent episode.

Yes Citibank’s service is way on the decline now. HSBC is much better. I’m glad you can start shopping soon!

Hooray for HSBC! I’m not too keen on them myself because they screwed up by messing around with my credit limit and caused me to go overlimit without a single purchase.
