My cough has turned from a dry chesty cough to something more sporadic but my nasal passages still feel dry and my taste buds are still dead. Is there anything worse than not having any taste-buds? Its no wonder I seem to have lost some weight - food just doesn’t seem as appetizing when you can’t smell nor taste them.

What I’ve been indulging in, in my last ditch attempt to remove the last remaining vestiges of a lingering cough is taking Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa and making lo han guo drinks at home. For the latter, I’d used to make it with sweetened wintermelon slices before, but I recently tried it with the fresh wintermelon and dried longans - yummy! They do help with a cough, so its all good!

What’s with the rainy weather lately? All it does is make me want to curl up in bed and continue sleeping in the mornings. It rained all day yesterday and today doesn’t seem any better. Its even brought the floods to Johor already - repeat of last year?

I’ve been looking around for my new phone. I looked at Nokia but somehow, felt underwhelmed, sorry all Nokia fans. I even looked at the N73, GT because you loved it so, but somehow, it didn’t grab my fancy. I was happy looking at the N95 though but thats seriously seriously out of budget. 
The ones that did grab my attention, were strangely enough by Sony Ericsson. Yes, despite my grouses with SE, it looks like I might be going back to them. The K800i is an older model but the reviews for it are awesome. How’s the joystick though? Does anyone experience trouble with it? I’d read many reviews which claim that that’s its weak point.
I played around with the new K770i too, but the reviews for it are blah so I’m going to pass on it. It looks good, its really slim and it fits what I’m looking for, but apparently the camera isn’t all that good and most users were disappointed with it. Not good then, I think. Another one that I saw was the K530i. Any thoughts on that?
Then of course, there are the Samsung phones which I haven’t gone to see yet.
I’d be getting 2 phones so, I know I’m going to have better bargaining power in terms of price and freebies. I hope to actually get one before the year is out! More recs! More recs! Confuse me, yes?

Sorry to hear about your cough. There are plenty of other remedies which my Mom told me about to. If you want, I can share them with you.. but hopefully that lo han guo works wonders.

out of all the cough mixtures, I actually like Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa the best! maybe it’s because of the sweet taste, unlike the default cherry-flavoured yucks the doctors give… ^__^
my Mom has some home remedies too, but I can’t remember what it is… something about a herb leaf that you eat raw?
I heard SE phones are pretty good, though I can’t recommend for sure since I don’t use them… lol! go iPhone!

I am still living in hope of the iPhone finally being released in Italy… meanwhile, my trusty and low-cost Motorola L6 still serves me well, and I cannot look at any other kinds of phones.. LOL!

wah why buy 2 fons? one for use and one for backup? if it’s like that, then get 1 powerful one, and the other a basic one.
K800i yeah the joystick! gave me some probs b4 as it’s become stiff in movements. but after some ‘massages’ given to it, it’s now back to normal. LOL! and i dun think K800i is still being sold? unless second hand sets. it’s already been replaced by K810i. K850i with 5 MP is its successor.
K770i basically has the same functions as K800i, except the latter has a xenon flash for its camera compared to K770i’s weaker LED lights. K800i also has 2 buttons above the screen for easy photo viewing and also act as camera settings button.
If K770i disappoints you, do you think a below-par K530i wud satisfy you? Bear in mind K770i has 3.2 MP cam + autofocus (AF), while K530i is equipped with a non-AF 2 MP cam.
samsung looks gorgeous in the ads.
