Hochiak's pictures were taken using the now extinct Nikon L4, which was then the entry level (read : cheapest) digital camera. I bought it about 2 years ago for RM480 or thereabouts. IMHO, you don't need to buy a mid-range PnS digital camera. Choose either entry level PnS or go straight into DSLR like what RasaMalaysia uses. I heard that you can get one for about RM1500 or even cheaper if you get the discontinued models. [Winn (from the bloggers meet) is also a Lumix user and advocate.] Mine's an old generation Lumix though - been using it for over 4 yrs now and it still gives me good mileage.
