Changing times and an upgrade

by ParisB on August 4, 2008

I finally did it!

I upgraded my wordpress to 2.6 and as expected, all categories disappeared. So, I have been inputting them manually and if you have been receiving pings from me, I duly apologise! I’m not quite done though. I have 391 posts to wade through and I’m only done with about 30 or so. I got fedup so I may not update the rest. They are too old and too irrelevant anyway to bother with. So, the archives page is your best friend if you are looking for something in particular ok?

Since I did the upgrade I also decided to upgrade my theme. Same theme but different colours. I like blue so I decided to take the theme on a blue spin. So far, I’m quite liking it – more soothing, I felt.

And to round it off, here’s something I saw yesterday:-

Have you seen anything so funny and so dangerous? What if they were to enforce the seatbelts at the back ruling? What if the driver had to do an emergency brake?

Do not try this at home, kids!

Aiyo… I’d better upgrade my Wordpress now rather than wait… if not I’ll have a major headache re-categorizing my posts!

p.s. Any Dummies guide to upgrading that you can point me to? :P

Rinnah: I just use Fantastico in Cpanel. If your host provides it. Its just one click and you’re good to go. If you are using Wordpress 2.3.3 upwards I reckon it shouldn’t be too much problem. Still, cross your fingers, close your eyes then click upgrade :P
