… for Christmas I mean.

Here are 2 of the famous eye popping Tiffany & Co. blue boxes side by side. One is tied with a signature white ribbon perfectly tied as only Tiffany & Co bows come. (I swear they go to Tiffany school to make sure every ribbon is tied just so!) The one on the right is also from the same store but came in a red ribbon. Both were bought at different times.
The reason is because of Christmas! Tiffany & Co changes their ribbons to red for Christmas in December, in light of the yuletide season where everything merry and jolly holly berry red. Pretty, but to me, no cigar. I prefer the white on blue to make a girl squeal with delight as only a blue box can

What I got was this. A chain bracelet with a snowflake charm on it. I can expand the number of charms as I go along but since each charm retails for about RM400 and up *gulp* its going to take me a long long LONG time to get a nicely clanking charm bracelet. I do have my eye set on the Eiffel Tower charm though. It’s adorable! But I promised I’d get it only after I’ve made a trip to Paris again. But by then I’d be broke won’t I?!
I chose the snowflake because it was purchased towards the end of the year hence the “snow” element of it. And if you are wondering, yes its a gift from someone very near and dear to me … and who shares my same family name; and for which I can’t ask for any other gifts for my birthdays for a couple of years to come LOL…
Actually, it ain’t bad being a bridesmaid for a gift of this nature eh?

Aww that’s such a lovely gesture! All I got for my role as bridesmaid was … wait, I had to fork out money for angpow. I didn’t even get anything!!
I went to Tiffany last weekend, and boy, was it crowded. Which made me think, err … what economic meltdown? :p

Beautiful gift and what a thoughtful gesture from same family name person.
@Tine:I think this holiday shopping rush is giving out wrong impressions of the ailing economy. As for being a bridesmaid, its the benefit of family
@beetrice: I paid for that bluey dress – an arm and a leg! sob sob! Don’t lem jewelry – its an expensive hobby
@rinnah:LOL yeah worth all the pressure I was put under heh…
