What a way to end 2008 for sure.
I thought 2008 had been decent to me until yesterday when I was slammed with some very unexpected news.
Apparently, X told Y that Z told X that I said something nasty about X which pissed X off. Confused yet? Yep, so was I. For a moment, I had to check to see if there was a tv screen border around me – was I suddenly transported into a soap opera I didn’t know about?
It involved words like “my people” and “your people” which made me sound like:-
(a) I’m a big A-list star with a whole entourage of “my people” at beck and call; or
(b) I’m a big taikor with similar entourage
Anyway, after the initial shock had worn off, I saw the funny side to it. No one thought to confirm with me if I had indeed said anything about “my people” and “their people” so I figured, if you aren’t going to tell me to my face, I’m not going to bother about what you say.
Water off a duck’s back right?
Still, I’ll have “my people” call “your people” ok? I’ve always wanted to say that
Happy New Year everyone!!
