New Phone – suggestions welcome

by ParisB on March 13, 2009

Ya ya… I been bitching about the stupid Samsung D900i I bought to replace the equally if not more stupid Samsung E something that was stolen. This was in December 2007. Since then, I’ve noticed the beginnings of a crack on one of the keys of the keypad.

As for the other Samsung D900i purchased at the same time, the keypad is all but disappeared. Every bit of the keys have cracked and fallen off. I don’t even know how the user uses it!

So I’m fed up and in the market for a new phone… again.

Recommendations welcome or I’d probably end up with one of the N-series phone thingys.

Help!

Buy something with features you need. Do you want to listen to music? Do you want to take photos? Do you want to run many applications?

My wife just got a Sony W595 and it’s quite a nice phone for RM980.

I would suggest Sony Ericsson phones. Look over for the feature you wanted.

I wouldn’t not recommend to use LG Black secret although their camera features are good but it lags, hangs, and not that user friendly than Sony Ericsson.

I agree with Adino; get something in which you’d actually use the features. I bought a Nokia N80 almost 3 years ago because of its fantastic features, and in the end, I only used the text messaging feature and sometimes, the camera.

Subsequent phones were lighter, less functional, but good enough for me. Oh, and a lot cheaper too :D

Hello from Aberdeen!

Agree with Adino, get a phone that has the features you will use, rather than the features you want. TM got me a Nokia 7610 (I teenk…) for Christmas and I love it. Does all I need – text, call, take photies and vids of Connor, key in my appointments in the diary. End of.

Cost only RM900 and I am SO chuffed with it. I’m a Nokia user too so can’t reco any other phones… don’t like them!
