If you are looking for a review of the Confessions of A Shopaholic movie, you can stop reading right now. I did not enjoy the book and neither will I watch the movie.
Never say never but for now, its never
What I am all shopped out about is mall trawling. I played host to some relatives from overseas who had only one go- shop shop and shop! Clothes in particular were high on their list of priorities which threw me for a loop.
I have not shopped for clothes for a while so where was I going to take them?
We ended up spending a day at 1 Utama where we trawled the mall from one end to the other and ended up having dinner at Yook Tho Hin Restaurant – mmm… salt egg prawns! They enjoyed it all – yay!
I also realised that there are fewer shops to shop at than I realised. The stores do tend to get repetitive from mall to mall and we were in between sales – so much for shopping! Still, they did get some nice stuff especially my young lil cousin. I envy her shopping budget and I can see she still needs to learn to spread her wings a little
The next day, we were at KLCC where I ran into a bit of a problem because I forgot about the PC Fair at KLCCC. The traffic and parking was crazy as was the number of people in KLCC that day. It reminded me of Hong Kong – never have I seen KLCC bustle the way it did. In fact, I was reminded of a bee hive with drones flying to and fro or maybe an anthill.
I was good and bought nothing … but I saw some stuff I liked. A black knit cardigan from Zara for RM79 made me pause as did the latest collections in Isetan. Isetan in particular has some nice things this time round so I was sorely tempted. However, my quest for a bargain prevailed so no discount, no buying.
I might sneak back to get that Zara cardigan though
And the little cousin just scored a bag from my collection that I’d not been using. Its something that suits her young self well and its in such good condition still, its a waste for it to moulder away in my closet. I think she’s pleased. And I think I’ve created a (bag) monster ROFLOL… me poor aunt!
What with shopping for a whole day plus late night chats I’m absolutely exhausted! And its only Monday! *whimper*

I was at Zara 1Utama the other day and all their cardigans were priced at RM89! Couldn’t bring myself to buy esp. since I’d seen the price creep up from RM65 a few years back. *sigh*
@Rinnah: I did not pay for them at RM65 but the ones I saw were RM75. Ironic I’d pay for them now but not then
Yoo-hoo! Me home in KL!
Funny thing that… I’ve been looking and looking for a cardigan all over Jkt and could never find one I liked. I’ll pop in Zara later and have a look.
I loved reading Confessions of a Shopaholic. LOL It was mindless but I enjoyed it. The one and only chick-lit book I liked.
@Cheesey: Cardis are risky things. You either look like an aunty in them or its too small. I saw the cardi I wanted at Zara again but now the price is RM89.90 and threads were unravelling all over! Crazy!
