Bandwidth Exceeded!

by ParisB on April 26, 2009

Everytime I see this on my beauty blog, I feel like dying.

Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.

Ok maybe not like dying but I get really frustrated nonetheless.

Looking on the bright side, it means I’m getting traffic.

Looking on the dark side, it could be a server glitch or someone stealing my bandwidth.

In either case its just frustration all round for me because I cannot access anything on the server – no cpanel nothing. Have sent the SOS to my webhost.

Now to sit back and wait for recovery and diagnosis.

In the meantime I’m out for the day – no point sitting around chewing on finger nails :)

I call that a sign of “get away from the computer and sniff some fresh air!” :P

Could it be you have a lot of pictures eating up the bandwidth? I host my images on Google Picasa Albums to prevent this from happening.

Either that or you could sign up for one of those unlimited bandwidth web hosting (like Bluehost) to store your photos
