I can relate to ghosts of girlfriends past

Or can I?

I saw the trailer for the movie Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and I thought to myself “Hey? It’s a bit early for Christmas wot?”

Apparently although it borrows heavily from the Charles Dickens story (A Christmas Carol for those racking their brains out ) its not Christmas related. Instead its weddings related. Just in time for summer. Wedding season… bah humbug! I must be a wedding scrooge then no?

But Scrooge or no, I want to see this movie because I’m curious.

Does “ghosts of girlfriends past” mean that they are now dead and therefore ghosts? Or does it mean their astral spirit comes to haunt the guy to make him atone for his playboy sins so he gets the love of his life? If they are his old girlfriends (and not dead) why are they helping him find the love of his life instead of letting the girl get played as well? Curiouser and curiouser.

It all reads and looks like a Mills and Boons romance novel come to life. Perfect Chick flick

So, can I relate to ghosts of girlfriends past? Am I the player or the played?
