How not to approach a blogger

AKA How to piss a blogger off

Leave a comment in a post pretending to be a casual reader when in fact you are shilling for a particular brand or company.

Case in point. Click to enlarge.

If you know who they are, so be it. Otherwise, take a guess because I’m not going to allow them the satisfaction of seeing their name on my site. I’m sorry “brenda” but this is NOT how you approach a blogger. Its a surefire way to piss me off though… and I’m not nice when I’m pissed off.

If you are looking for promotion, go by the proper channels. That’s what emails and contact addresses are for.

Fittingly, the comment ended up in the spam bin and I only happened to see it because I do take the trouble to look in the spam bin for any innocent comments that may have fallen by the wayside.

This one isn’t and it stays in spam.

So much for extreme marketing. They are just trying to get your attention when you can’t be bothered with them. Don’t be pissed, okay? *hugs* I always love your sites.

I get crap like this so often on my beauty blog. Thank goodness for the spam filter. I just delete them. I should blast them though. Gah, I’m too nice :P
