Careful when you Tweet

by ParisB on June 29, 2009

I wonder if people realise that when they Tweet something on Twitter it goes out to the world? Its the equivalent of standing on your rooftop and shouting and you never know who’s listening.

How do you know that your boss isn’t on your follow list? Its nearly impossible to track who’s who these days.

So be warned. Don’t slam superiors at work, don’t slam your workplace and don’t slam colleagues – you never know who knows who … well not unless you still want to keep your job that is…

Just something I had to get off my chest.

So….. What’s up everyone?! I realise I’m losing readers here but nevermind :) If you’re my friends you’ll still have been popping by.

Oddie: Are you back? Have you survived quarantine? When can we catch up?! Call meeeeee…… :D

You also need to mention how Tweets are stored permanently (unless you delete them) and shows up on Google searches!

Someone can always dig up what you tweeted!

I try to keep a cool head but sometimes I tweet just to vent and let off steam. Not many people know my Twitter compared with my Facebook, so I’m more careful there.

Nice site re-design, by the way!

I’m still here I’m still here! :) Regarding Twitter, your blog and any social networking sites, best to just keep the workplace out of it. Colleagues are friends on these sites, which means anything regarding work is a no no. Better to watch the behind than to get it fried for something you might think is harmless :P

Love the header, and how you incorporated the Eiffel Tower into your name! :D

Hey woman!

Quarantine is over. No H1N1, thank heavens! Am off to Thailand on Wednesday for work work work, and be back on 16th of July. Chat with you then.

Good thing I am so blur about things hip and electronic. So scary all these new gizmos and thingummies that are so easily misused by stalker-ish types.
