I felt the earth move under my feet…

by ParisB on September 30, 2009

Did you? I did.

I was sitting in the office this evening at about 6+pm when I felt my chair vibrate and I felt remotely dizzy. I thought it was low blood sugar levels at first. I get that sometimes but it was going on for far too long.

So I looked at the glass of water on my table and it was sloshing around in an innocent but scary way. That’s when I thought to myself “EARTHQUAKE!!!”

Problem is, when I looked online, there was no information. I’m not in an office block so there was no management to evacuate us… so I sat there until it subsided. :P

That was scary and it was just a little tremor. I dread to think of what a full scale earthquake will feel like.

My prayers go out to the victims of this most recent earthquake in Sumatra. I’ve had a taste and its enough for me.

I did felt it too. I was in the car and it’s weird that the car is vibrating sideways when it’s on neutral. Thought there’s something wrong with the car.

Penang beach was slammed with larger waves. My prayers to the affected countries.

Must have been quite an experience! I felt the earth shake once when I was asleep in US.

@giddy tigress: It was scary! I dare not think if I was caught in the middle of an earthquake
