Thanks to a generous friend, i just caught this movie a short while ago. I’d suggest you leave all expectations at the door. Its not a movie for children despite its theme and its not a movie one should watch without knowing the story or reading the books.
Johnny depp was a perfect mad hatter. I enjoyed watching all his scenes. But i left the movie feeling a little wanting. Something was missing and i cant say what.
It bugs me that way

Thanks for the alert! Thought I’d bring my kid for his very first movie but he finds Mr Bean:The Movie and Antz scary so I think he’ll be freaked out by this. But I wanna get the DVD for the visual feast!
@kittycat: Its not dark or scary but the Mad Hatter’s antics might scare the little one if Mr. Bean does! But then Mr. Bean scares even me LOL
